Well, I am a day late to announce you the victory of James Arthur last night. Therefore he becomes the ninth winner of the UK version of the X-Factor.
James is British man from Yorkshire, England. He is 24 and auditioned singing an accoustic version of Tulisa's 'Young'.
From that moment on, everything changed for him. He went through the Bootcamp and went to Dubai, the destination chosen by Nicole Scherzinger the judge that had become the Boys' mentor, and therefore his. At then moment of the auditions, each judge is asking for a famous singer/producer (or wife of famous singer and former judge) to help them to choose the final four of their category.
This year, in Dubai, Scherzinger asked the RnB singer Ne-Yo to be that
extra-judge. Arthur sang 'I Can't Make You Love Me' originally sung by
Bonnie Raitt.
And as you may know, if he won the competition, he went through the Judges Houses:
And the first day of the rest of his life happened at that very moment. He got through, got to the live shows. He was supported by a lot of people, celebrities, the judges. Through the competition, he was only once in the "bottom-two" and therefore faced to the judges judgments. At that very moment, in front of him was Ella Hennerson [The week was a bit criticized as two of the best contestants of the ninth series (and of all the series) were "en danger" that night. One of them had to leave. People started thinking that the show was not as attractive as it might have been before for the British.]
He was not saved by the judges but that the public (thanks to the deadlock - the one that had received the least of votes is the one to leave). Thanks to that, he was one of the last five, four after Ryan Clark's elimination, and then three finalists after Union J's elemination on week 9.
The final happened this year at Manchester Central. Christopher Maloney, was - and I'm still wondering HOW - one of the three contestants of week 10 for the final and was (eventually) eliminated on Saturday 8th, December. But still facing him, and from the very same category, was Jahméne Douglas.

Though they are both very talented, James has a little something more than Jahméne for the public.

... And all his "X-Factor family" seems to be happy !
(NB: And he won a contract with SYCO - I hope Jahméne will be signed as well!)
